The below photo's are a photo journal for my website visitors to enjoy. I have been fortunate to have been able to travel from time to time and with each trip, I photograph turfgrass conditions that I encounter. I will continue this forum and add to the photo's (and of course soil profile samples) as I continue to travel from place to place.

Carlos is holding the Mascaro Profile Sampler. | This is the Turf-Tec Moisture Sensor being used at Crandon Park Golf Club, Key Biscayne, FL. The PGA Tour recommends use of two Turf-Tec Moisture Sensors in their course conditioning guidelines to insure moisture consistency from one green to the next. |

Jeff was kind enough to show me around the course at Crandon Park Golf Club, Key Biscayne, FL before the seniors event. | The University of Florida's turfgrass field day on March 20th in Davie, Florida at the IFAS facility. This is a test plot using 12 Turf-Tec Lysimeters and 4 Turf-Tec Moisture Sensors to test moisture retention and water holding capacity of coated sand. |

April 3rd 2003, the STMA, North Florida Chapter had its first meeting and I spoke on aerification. Then Mark Clay, Sports Turf Manager gave me a tour of Alltel Stadium, home of the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars. | Mark Clay (Right), Sports Turf Manager of Alltel Stadium with John Mascaro (I am on the Left). The field had just transitioned all the ryegrass out and Mark was letting the Bermudagrass grow in. The night before it was 30 degrees and that day it was 75 degrees f. |

This is the profile of Alltel Stadium taken with the Mascaro Profile Sampler. The field is made of amended sand and Mark does an excellent job insuring that layers do no become a problem. | This is Alltel Stadium during the 2002 season. It is always rated in the top five field by the NFL players fro playability on natural grass. |

Mark Clay is also Sports Turf Manager in charge of the practice fields as well as the stadium. | This is the brand new Jacksonville Baseball complex, home of the AA Jacksonville Suns. This is the field one day before opening day. |
